Specialist-Coordinator Walsh seeks a full time GIS
Specialist- Coordinator. Duties will include daily interaction with
environmental scientists and engineers to create and support GIS projects
involving spatial data sets, GPS and remote sensed imagery, attribution,
analysis and preparation of maps and graphics for use in technical documents and
GeoWeb presentations. Solid, high level competence with full ESRI GIS products
suite including ArcView, Info, Pad, Catalog, Toolbox and extensions are
required. Additional experience with remote sensing software (and theory) such
as ERDAS or ENVI and graphics software experience is desirable. Position
coordinates with other office GIS/CAD technicians. Requires a bachelor's degree
in related area of specialty and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in
related area and must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and
procedures of GIS used in life/geo-sciences. Excellent communication and
time-management skills are a requisite. Creativity, flexibility and independent
