General: Walsh is seeking an Administrative Assistant:
 
Grand Junction, Colorado
 
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Grand Junction, Colorado. The successful candidate will perform a wide variety of administrative activities for our diverse company. The position is 32 hours plus/week.  This is a mid- to senior-level position. 

The Administrative Assistant responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Wide range of administrative duties from clerical to senior level support for more than one individual;
• Editing/proofreading written materials;
• Assisting with invoice processing for special clients and handling sub-contractor invoices;
• Maintaining backup system and ensuring all equipment is running properly and that necessary supplies are on hand;
• Researching data sources for business opportunities and trends.

Minimum Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Business;
• Scientific or technical background desirable;
• Microsoft Office (primarily Word, Excel, and Power Point) fluency;
• Strong organizational skills, courteous, professionalism, flexibility, excellent follow up and attention to detail; and
• Excellent writing and verbal skills.

General: Walsh is seeking an Environmental Scientist:
 
Grand Junction, Colorado
 
We are seeking a mid-level environmental scientist for our Grand Junction, Colorado office.  Our successful candidate must at least have a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or closely related field and a minimum of two years of experience in the industry.  Preference will be given to persons with experience conducting inspections and air monitoring for projects involving hazardous materials including asbestos, heavy metals, and other contaminants.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Phase II Investigations for soil and groundwater contamination,
• Surface water and stormwater monitoring,
• Asbestos inspections,
• Air monitoring,
• IAQ studies,
• Mold inspections and monitoring,
• Permitting and construction oversight, and
• Extensive report writing
 
REQUIREMENTS 
• Requires Science, Environmental Health, or related degrees with at least 2 years of experience. 
• Applicants must be knowledgeable of EPA, CDPHE, and OSHA regulations, air monitoring equipment and instruments, and PPE. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work with little supervision, and experience interacting with clients, contractors, and regulators.
• Effective communication skills required.

General: Walsh is seeking a Senior NEPA Specialist:

Walsh Environmental is an engineering and environmental consulting company seeking a fanatically enthusiastic Senior NEPA Specialist to join our Ecological Services team in Boulder, Colorado.  Our affiliated companies provide environmental planning, permitting, and compliance support to Federal agencies as well as energy and mining companies throughout the western United States and internationally.  We foster a high level of professional collaboration and teamwork to provide excellent technical support to our clients. Our successful candidate will be overjoyed to manage NEPA projects in this environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage technical team on NEPA compliance projects, including preparation of Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements
• Manage related local, State, and Federal agency resource management and permitting projects
• Manage budgets, technical staff, and reports associated with the NEPA process
• Manage required agency consultations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Planning, Earth Science, Natural/Cultural Resources or related discipline; Master’s Degree strongly preferred
• 10+ years of NEPA experience; preferably in third-party capacity for energy, mining, and/or oil and gas projects
• Thorough understanding of general NEPA process and methodologies as well as specific agency regulation and guidance
• Excellent project management skills
• Experience in applied earth science or natural/cultural resource discipline or relevant industry
• Professional experience in the western US strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
• Some travel to support business needs required

Boulder, CO: Walsh is seeking a Senior Industrial Hygienist:

Senior Industrial Hygienist needed to support existing programs and business development activities. Must have demonstrated expertise in specialized areas; IH, indoor air quality, ventilation, ergonomics, compliance auditing, emergency planning.  Requires CIH and 10+ years experience in general industry and consulting.  Preference will be given to individuals with graduate degree or CSP.

Senior-Level Mining Engineers
Gustavson Associates is looking for senior-level open pit and underground mining engineers with at least 15 years of experience.

• Advanced degree in mining engineering

• Strong cost estimation skills

Mining/Economic Geologists
Gustavson Associates is looking for senior-level mining and economic geologists with at least 15 years of experience.

• Strong background in exploration and exploration program management

• Some mine operations and/or consulting experience a plus

Petroleum Engineer
Responsibilities
Estimate reserves and resources for conventional and unconventional wells and prospects using various methods:
• Volumetric
• Decline curve analysis
• Material balance
• Analysis of water cut
• Prepare probabilistic assessments of reserves/resources.
• Prepare economic analyses of foreign and domestic properties at well and project levels.
• Consolidate data and information.
• Understand clients’ objectives and plan work to achieve them.
• Coordinate with other engineers and geologic staff to integrate and apply new understanding to reservoir issues.
• Work in multi-disciplined team.
• Actively engage in self and peer reviews to ensure accuracy and reasonableness.
• Prepare concise understandable reports targeted at clients’ needs.

Qualifications
• A minimum of ten years’ experience specific to technical reservoir engineering.
• Exposure to both conventional and resource plays.
• Ability to work under budget and time constraints.
• Understanding of geological, geophysical, and economic concepts.
• Computer: Proficiency with economic modeling software (ARIES preferred), experience in reservoir simulation such as ECLIPSE is a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze extensive amounts of data and information quickly coupled with the ability to make sound business recommendations based upon technical analysis.
• Communication and Teamwork: Ability to listen effectively, as well as speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of settings & styles. Ability to function profitably in a multi-discipline team environment.
• Leading Adaptive Change: Create and respond appropriately to changing conditions; apply continuous improvement techniques to help create new business opportunities and best practices.
• BS in Petroleum Engineering or other engineering discipline; advanced degree a plus.
